Setup guide

TikTok ads to a CPA network

Pass TikTok campaign, ad group and ad IDs and get CPA payouts back by postback.

You need

  • A ClickMesh account
  • A CPA offer link and postback access at your network
  • A TikTok Ads Manager account
  1. Step 1: Add the CPA offer

    Create an offer in ClickMesh with your affiliate link, and put {click_id} in the sub-ID parameter the network returns in postbacks.

    Offer URL (example)
    https://cpa-network.example/click?o=789&a=456&sub1={click_id}
  2. Step 2: Create a campaign with the TikTok template

    Choose TikTok as the traffic source. The template maps TikTok’s macros: ad ID to sub1 (the column reports break down by), ad group ID to sub2, campaign ID to sub3 and placement to sub4. The ttclid TikTok adds to the link is stored as the external click ID automatically.

    Macro names are set by TikTok and can change. If TikTok rejects one, check its current macro list and edit the template in ClickMesh.

    Tracking link
    https://hopwire.xyz/c/ab12cd?sub1=__CID__&sub2=__AID__&sub3=__CAMPAIGN_ID__&sub4=__CSITE__
  3. Step 3: Use the link in TikTok Ads Manager

    Paste the full tracking link as the ad’s destination URL. TikTok replaces the __MACRO__ values when someone clicks.

  4. Step 4: Set the postback at the CPA network

    Paste the ClickMesh postback URL into the network’s postback settings, using the network’s own macros for the sub ID, payout and transaction ID.

    Postback URL (generic macros)
    https://hopwire.xyz/postback?cid={sub1}&payout={payout}&txid={txid}
  5. Step 5: Send a test click and a test conversion

    Open the campaign in ClickMesh and use Test click to send a click through your tracking link. Check that it lands on the right page.

    Then press Send test conversion and watch the live postback log: it shows each postback as it arrives and whether it matched a click. When real conversions come in from your network, they show up in the same log, so you can see exactly what the network sent.

  6. Step 6: Import TikTok spend

    Export a daily report with campaign and cost from TikTok Ads Manager, then upload it in ClickMesh under Costs using the TikTok format. Manual daily entry works too.

  7. Step 7: Find the profitable ad groups

    Reports by campaign and sub1 show profit and ROI per TikTok campaign. Your raw click log keeps sub2 and sub3 (ad group and ad IDs) for the retention period of your plan (30 days on Free).
